Which Program Do I Need?
Maryland requires different programs depending on your alcohol assessment and driving history. Our confidential evaluation determines the right placement — and if you’ve received a referral letter, you must begin within 90 days of its due date.
12-Hour AEP
Typically for first-time offenders whose assessment does not indicate alcohol dependence.
A state-approved education course covering alcohol’s effects, Maryland law, and responsible decision-making. Usually completed over six weekly classes.

26-Week Treatment Program
Required for repeat offenses or when an assessment indicates a more significant concern.
A licensed outpatient treatment program — weekly group sessions that incorporate the full 12-hour curriculum plus real tools for lasting change. Only state-licensed providers like KeyDecisions MD can offer it.
